DESCRIPTION

Under the Framework Programme SVILUPPO ITALIA -ITALIAN DEVELOPMENT- (today INVITALIA) ex Delibera CIPE of 19th December 2002 n.130- Operational Programme “Advisory about Feasibility Studies”, the project was entrusted to a professional team. Among them, there is the engineer Renato PERTUSO who worked on the elaboration of three Feasibility Studies for the touristic requalification of National Southern Italian Parks.

The examined parks are the following ones:

REGION OF APULIA -NATIONAL PARK OF GARGANO
“Opportunity of Development in the National Park of Gargano: the sustainable development and the little touristic train in Umbra Forest”;

REGION OF BASILICATA- NATIONAL PARK OF POLLINO
“Adaptation and valorisation of public tourist accommodations at high altitude”; “Focus on Pollino-Lucano holiday package”;

REGION OF CAMPANIA- NATIONAL PARK OF CILENTO AND VALLO DI DIANO
“Valorisation and development of Vallo di Diano and Media Valle del Tanagro”.

The existence of a prestigious environmental context both from the flora and fauna point of view and from the landscape point of view, however, it is not enough to attract and seduce potential visitors. The choice of holiday destination, in fact, is often influenced by the presence of host infrastructures, touristic services and facilities that, in perfect match with the surrounding ecosystem, could support the tourist’s choice.
The most recent tendencies in the tourism market show that tourists from all over the world are inclined to choose, as their principal holiday destinations, naturalistic holiday resorts where they could stay, for a short or a long period, in direct contact with nature.
Researches and studies underlined that these three parks have great potentialities concerning good accommodations for tourists.
